memory
is an interesting playmate
contrasting
then with now
sixteen years ago
looking north
from my upstairs studio window
there were swans in the bay
my parents were in Spain
and I gave my sweetheart
a positive pregnacy test result
after the glorious gray
of yesterday
today
the sun shines
radiance is everywhere
I carved out
a little swan stamp
to contain this sweet sun/son memory
and to soak up the warmth
in the bay...
