(more or less)
returning from my walk
storm clouds building in the west
a found twisty piece of rusted wire
think: twizlers
curved into a circle
we are noticing roundy things
and stripey things
the roundness of lime, tomato and avocado
reminding us of guacamole
noticing the different kinds of roundness
the flat circles of the halved lime
their radiant segments echoing the nasturtium leaves
the volume of the avocado and how it darkens as it curves
a blue and green striped napkin
and how the horizontal lines flow
like a river
and how the nasturtium stems reach
in a stripey and vertical way
their red buds ready
to open to the light
Boone and I
are practicing noticing,
