of magic,

a Tibetan sand mandala,

and the mouse eating ice cream dream

manifested (thanks to an anonymous(e) UVM art student)

isn't it fabulous?

this is the tip of the iceberg - yes...

and I am relaxing into the magic

of post Bikram yoga

and reveling in synchronicities

the joy of getting lost in the woods...

some things come and go

some things stick around for a while

journaling is something I have done

for as long as I can remember

wish I knew what happened

to that little pink diary

with the lock and key

that I had as a 10 year-old (hey Mom?!?)

where I wrote day after day

that nothing was happening

in my beautiful loopy childhood script

alas...

some new pages are in the works

"Exalted One - the Crow or Raven (same thing only larger) is an

omen of transformation, keeper of sacred law and a shape shifter...

they have the ability to live in the past, present and future

simultaneously and pass through the veil that separates our world

from the spirit world..."

"Yes! Lil Witch Willa  - you are correct - now what about the

Book of Shadows - what have you learned about this?"

"Exalted One - the Book of Shadows is a special journal where

an Artist records in a very personal and creative way - the

acts, creations, spells, incantations, evocations and experiences

of a Magical Life - however that may express itself - and every

"lil witch" needs a Crow Consort and a Book of Shadows to prepare

for All Hallows Eve - which is right around the corner..."

"Ah - my Lil Witch - you have trained well...  are these items

available for purchase?"

"Yes my Exalted One - but only this one Book of Shadows for now

but many Crows are ready - those who are interested may email eb

here or up there - the Book is $75 and the Crows are $30 each.

who knows the Magick word - and for that lucky duck we have a

yes, you!

Dear Susanna,

The Winged Messenger and I had a lovely adventure yesterday,

and for this I am thanking you so very much.  Although there were

books to make, crows to send, items to cross off in the journal,

and so forth... the wings had been patiently riding around

in the backseat of my car since Blogstock.

Susanna - it was time!

You see we were heading into the town studio to do all these things

and the sun was shining so gloriously,

 
the air was warm and we (the wings and I)

 
felt the change coming - the rain that came today

and the wind.

So - we hiked the East Woods,

Red Rocks and traipsed a bit in Queen City Park.

 
We encountered a few folks who were

naturally curious about the wings in the backpack

and we were happy to explain

that the wing's sisters have traveled

all around the world (well eventually) 

to Venice, London, the Colorado mountains,

sightings in airports have been reported and to places

that we are presently unaware of...

that you are a lovely artist in the Garden state

 
and isn't a lovely day and so forth...

Well - Susanna - they were very interested in this story of

the traveling wings and wanted to be part of this love and

happily agreed to participate.

So - we hiked up and around the red cliffs over the lake 

sometimes getting a wee bit close

to the edge - but... we thought - hey - what a way to go...

we lay down on the pine needles - looking up into the light

leaving with our back leaf and pine needle covered.

 
Susanna - it was divine!

We had a small lunch, considered the collaborative possibilities

of working with nature a la Andy Goldsworthy and just relished each

and every place we could alight - the wings and I.

Oh Susanna - this winged message is a tender caress to all

as everyone wishes to be beautiful in someone's eyes

and to feel their love.
