I have begun a small series of paintings

that play with stripey-ness as in the stripeys

that I love and collect

the beginnings of which coincided

with Seth Apter's call for art

and answering

the 3 questions

shadowlady 

can be a troublesome guest

but her visits 

invariably call attention to the light

and suggest the restorative qualities

of sleeping and rooting

of resting

into the dance

of light and dark...
