hands carry many things
hands carry lines of destiny
hands touch
hands hold
hands express
hands offer
hands make
hands reach out
to and for
hands are an exquisite design
and sometimes design exquisitely
hands can catch rainbows
this February
I have burned mine
twice
now,
hands are healing
my hands
and this
is always a balm...
please - cherish your hands
and all that they do,

a rosy tea-dyed crown
casts a lacy shadow
while I gather up
the blood orange pages
tea pockets
rose petals
mica
and golden filigree
assembling
the bits
and the pieces
into a tiny book
soaking up
the the late morning light...

necessary
to retreat
to tea
and the quiet
found only
in between
the pages...

spend and save them

of the books of your life...

who is here
sanding and refinishing the cherry floors
at the lake house
when Dad takes a break
he and the wood whisperer
fell, chop and split wood
simultaneously clearing
the cedar woods
for a gypsy tent encampment...
life is a gift
ever so grateful

in the rusty tea glow

the warm

a small gathering
of richly patterned gypsy tents
in the pine woods...

a ribbon of vermillion hearts
a blush-wrapped dark chocolate
an aromatic rose
a valentine journal
collecting heart thoughts
a walk here
with less snow
and hundreds of geese
walking together
listening
to the goose honk and the quiet
gathering...
