here at cedar lodge
with single digit temperatures
projects around the wood stove
expand and proliferate
for drying citrus
I use a perforated pizza pan
flipping the slices frequently
so far
I have tried orange, lemon and red grapefruit
(cooking up some blood oranges and fat limes tonight)...
also
I am brewing up lots of chai
bagged and cheesecloth bundled
I love the stain patterns on the cloth
and save each and every tea bag
and - not surprisingly,
I am making little chai books
soaking heavy hot press w/c paper in large pans of tea
so aromatic
then they are pressed
with dried tea bag papers and orange slices
the resultant pages
subtlely patterned, rich and fragrant...
