"... the world offers itself to your imagination,
calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting -
over and over announcing your place
in the family of things."

I find myself being called constantly......like the wild geese. Isn't it grand.
I saw the Red Book, eb. Better yet, I saw the color red in so many mandala paintings at the Rubin. Did you know there is a red goddess? So much fire, she would make your eyes burn just to look at her.
I thought of you as I gazed at each piece and spoke to two very peaceful and knowledgeable Buddhist nuns.

A wonderful Oliver poet, Eb. The geese fly over my house every morning...so many of them...and there I go running outside or to the window, just to see them go, and I smile because it is becoming a ritual of mine-to see them fly and imagining me fly with them.

thanks Elizabeth for the link to the poem which was beautiful - your post reminded me of one of my favorite quotes "Don't be afraid to go on a wild goose chase - that's what wild geese are for" !

What a beautiful banner! The Geese resting, content as the sun sets beyond the Golden Lake to the Magestic Mountains! Nourishing and building their energy for tomorrow's long flight! What a Grand Scene with the vibrancy of the Autumn colors! XOX, Mom

I was so struck by the colors in the banner I didn't even see the geese until I read your mom's comment and went back. You are the color queen and I am so lucky to get to come here and bask in it. Thanks for sharing! smooches
