I loved painting with you last Monday
and I must tell you that you are currently
my very most favorite artist...
I love your jeweled Princess crown
and the glass slippers you are wearing
as you run through a grassy field
collecting daisies.
Morgan - you have taken me down
the rabbit hole of memory and I have re-visited
a time ten years ago before you were born
when my son was almost five just like you
and we painted together...
just like with you - I would trace his body
on mat board and he would BEcome...
a rabbit, a dog, a zebra, an elephant...
those were the days - the salad days of magic
and imagining...
and Morgan - now I am wanting to do this too
and to create a sanctuary
where women come together
to trace their bodies on large plywood
that they walk with each and every day
you know this Morgan
you have not forgotten
as we put the last touches on your painting
you stepped back and exclaimed:
"I am beautiful and perfect"...
I will never forget these words
and I would love to share this feeling
and self-recognition with others.
Thank you Morgan
for teaching me this most radiant lesson
xox - eb.
ps - I am envisioning a workshop along these lines
if this process intrigues you - please e-mail me

Love your Post! Morgan must be a joy to work with! What a charmer she is! What a great smile, too! Working with you must be the high-lite of her week! What a darling painting! You certainly have the ability to inspire and develop the desire to become artists!
Just look at Boone! What a cute 5 year old he was! I can't imagine how time flies and how quickly he has grown into a handsome young man! Love and enjoy seeing his art work! XOX, Mom

This is so precious. I've scrolled through it three times now, and I know I'll be back for more. You are some inspiring art teacher! How lucky Morgan is to study with you. How fortunate Boone is to live with you and soak up your magic on a daily basis.
Love the workshop idea.
