Today after completing a few timely tasks
I went for my morning loop walk.
There were a few things on my mind
like the 40 days in the "desert"
that I am about to undertake;
my desire to extend the tree house fantasy;
to offer similar journaling journeys
and there was also the current collapse
of nickels and dimes - maybe you catch my drift here...
Then I found the chestnuts
scattered across the path like fat brown jewels
and like a starry-eyed child
I filled my pockets and waddled back home.
Yes there I was - an odd middle-aged "pregnant" weirdo -
my son would have given me the rolling eyeball
and pretended not to know me - but he was at school
bless his sweet heart...
I put my treasure in the antique cradle.
Perhaps I am planting something
with these fat juicy seeds...
I wrote in my journal
about how I have this need to gather
Yesterday was a day of organizing -
all the things that I have been gathering
everything - and all things - that had jumped
the organizational ship - sometime last spring
when I went off looking for creative adventures
here and away and now we have the luxury
of gatherings of like items;
of clear, clean horizontal surfaces
once again at least for awhile.
I received a few inspiring and uplifting e-mails
one of which I would like to share with you
and my sweet son has been urging me to share
a picture of Lynxie - our new mischief-maker
here helping Dad with the eggplant parmesan...
I want you to know how creatively inspired
all (each and every one) of your imaginings
about the tree house journaling retreat have been for me
I have savored every one - every single one
my finger on the refresh button anticipating.
And the winner is...
Spiral Bettie - (please e-mail me you snail addy
and your prize will find you
I hope you don't mind if I include
a few of my gathered odd and sundry items).
These trees are calling your names...
dear ones and I would love to know
what you think of future journaling journeys here
always with a surprise of course...
