My dear sweet parents have arrived from Nebraska
and are nesting now down at the lakeside studio...
that's the full nest - and we are wining and dining and BEing family together.
The boys get out the tractor, push some brush around,
cast a fly out into the lake and we share in stories and laughter.
It is so wonderful for Boone - to move in (temporarily) with the grandparents,
to sleep in after a long night of reading and oreos
and relish in that special Grandma cuisine.
Now for the empty nest...
these sweet robin babies I have watched daily - remember the three blue eggs?
well they have hatched, fledged and flown the sweet little nest
built by Mom and Dad and as I had hoped to find a few blue egg fragments...
MY baby informed me that the baby robins eat the egg shells -
for the calcium - now that makes sense doesn't it?
So yesterday - my birds had flown;
some news near and dear to my creative heart and soul arrived -
(which will require some creative adjusting);
there was an earthquake in CA - (about which I was unawares) and this...

yeah - its been "a couple of days"...
