ps: all stencils drawn "free hand" from my North American Bird Guide.

These are wonderful, I really like how you did the mask/stencil thing on the first and fifth one, so you have design showing beneath the bird outline.

I just came in for letting the dog out - I could hear the multitude of birds singing but couldn't really see them but here they are in all their spring time glory ! Gorgeous !!

Eb, your birds are very cool and I'm impressed that you did draw them freehand! With the backgrounds the result is stunning! I did a bird too, but a bit more simple. I'll have to give stenciling another try soon! :-)

Lots of birds outside my window. None as beautiful as yours. Your negative space makes all the difference. Mine is still leafless trees......though I would have to say those cardinals, woodpeckers and finches are looking pretty good right now.....birds+sun= spring!!!! We've even put the hummingbird feeder up.

EB,
those birds are so WONDERFULL! And the layering thing.... WOW. The images make me happy, it is cold and un-springy here too, so let this be SPriNG start.

Such nice birdies! You are inspiring eb with the word you produce each and every day!!
I have a particular kinship with birds, feeling they may hold a special key to part of everlasting life. Your works here with your silhouette are colorful, yet mysterious and soulful.
Love,
Constance

More lovely birds, each one different than the last! They are all wonderful! :)

Love the birds! Stencils, wonderful! The leaves in the background of the one that says "photo-shopped" are spectacular. They and the sunshine in my backyard to day make we want to sing and twirl. There is a daffodil in my yard that makes me think Spring might actually come!
Thanks for you inspiration!
Big hugs, Cat

Well, how fun is this! I have a special place in my heart for birds too. I think it's their ability to sing so well, to flit from place to place, and always to look like they just hopped (flew) out of the shower. Not so keen on the males having all the color though.

I love your birds! It's been such a pleasure to see and hear them this spring that I've had bird fever, too. What you've done with them is so inspiring. Thanks!

Can't decide which is my favorite. The combination of the vibrant backgrounds, the bird stencil, and the use of spray paint is perfect in my book.

What a beautiful bird! I love your backgrounds as well.
